Welcome to New Leaf Trading Post, or NLTP for short. This forum was created on February 23, 2014 by me to create a new, functional and useful community forum for all Animal Crossing players. You will be able to trade, sell, auction off, and give away all sorts of in-game items as well as villagers. In addition, you will be able to get help from other players, just talk about the game, and sell your artwork!
I wanted to create a forum like this because on other forums like The Bell Tree and even Tumblr villager trading blogs, fair trade is restricted and scammers aren't punished as they should be. I am striving to build an honest community of players who want to trade, sell, and buy as fairly as possible.
Now that you know about NLTP and its purpose, you may want to know a bit about me. My name is Alex, but feel free to call me 'Admin'.
I've been addicted to Animal Crossing from Wild World to City Folk and now New Leaf. I live in the New England area of the United States and my birthday is December 1st.
Here is a list of some of the rules I want you all to keep in mind while using this forum:
- You may offer or ask for as much or as little as you want for anything, but try to remember how you would feel if you were just starting out and were asked to pay 20 million bells for a villager, or were offered 100k bells for something that you know is worth much more. Think of the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. Trade and sales will not be regulated by myself or any future staff members, but if I/we feel as if something is unfair I/we will certainly offer our opinions.
- Obviously, you are absolutely not allowed to scam anyone out of a deal. No matter what. If you are scammed or find out that another player has been scammed, it is your duty as a member to PM me directly and immediately. I have the ability to delete accounts or suspend members and will absolutely do so- and you will not be considered a tattler, I promise.
- I have not censored any cuss or vulgar words on this forum, and hope that you all will use this opportunity to treat others with respect and speak only when necessary. Remember that even though you may be an adult, Animal Crossing is made for children as much as it is for adults and there will most likely be child members on this forum.
- Pornography or any form of vulgar photography or videography is not tolerated, and by posting such content you will be suspended, possibly permanently.
- Speak how you wish to others, but once again please remember the golden rule.
- Duping is not allowed.
Those are the basics, and I will be adding more as I see fit. In addition, if you or any group of members would like to see any boards opened on a topic, send me a PM with good reason and you'll probably see it up on this forum. If I have any notifications you all should be aware of, I will send out a mass PM.
